Back to School: Your Move does the homework

September 7, 2017Tags: buying | buy property | School

It’s back to school again and, for many, the realisation that, as their family is growing up, their home appears to be getting smaller.  It’s because of this that Your Move is urging homeowners to do their homework before another term passes and to consider moving to a larger property before lack of space becomes a major problem.

Your Move commented:

“A lot of couples buy a house before they have a family and, although they may have opted for a larger property than they initially needed, it’s only when the children arrive they realise there’s a need for more space, particularly for toys, clothes and even visiting friends.

“School holidays often highlight the problem and that’s why we believe that, following the recent break, and while more buyers are anticipated to come into the market, it’s a good time for people to consider selling a home. Acting now, with the support of the local Your Move team, could still result in a move to a larger property before the next major school holiday at Christmas.”

To give you inspiration in finding a new ‘larger’ family home why not take a look at a selection from Your Move – all of which are conveniently situated near schools.

Back2skl1School Road, Wales, Sheffield

A four bedroom detached property that, having recently been renovated throughout,  provides a lovely family home that includes a lounge, dining room, sitting/games room and dining kitchen. To the first floor – as well as the four bedrooms (one of which includes a Juliet balcony) - there is an en-suite bathroom to the master bedroom as well as a family bathroom.  Located close to a range of local amenities – and schools – it really is a property that gets top marks.

BACK2SKL2Brookfield Road, Goldington, Bedford

This property is located in a mature residential road with access to Goldington Academy, Mark Rutherford School and Bedford University. It also benefits from nearby supermarkets, parks, a river, a rugby club and the town centre as well as being a fifty minute rail link into London.

For any family who appreciates living in a property that has its own individual style – and that offers space inside and outside - this is one to view.

BACKTO3The Village, Strensall, York

The property is situated just outside the popular City of York and, within in few minutes’ walk of a local primary school and in the catchment area of a highly regarded secondary school, is an ideal property for any growing family.

As a period farmhouse it has been extensively refurbished and extended in recent years to provide a lounge and a separate family room. The dining room extends through into the kitchen/living room with bi-folding doors onto a beautiful walled garden. There is also a driveway to the rear leading to a garage with double doors and loft storage. Altogether a lovely property that could be considered ‘top of its class’.
