A Landlords Guide To The Renters Rights Act
The Renters’ Rights Act is a significant new piece of legislation aimed at transforming the private rented sector in England.
The aim of the Act is to provide greater security and stability for the 11 million private renters in England, while also ensuring fair treatment for Landlords. The expectation is that it will become law by May 2026.

Laura was a pleasure to work with, very professional whilst friendly and always kept me up to speed with all the progress and steps to get to final key handover. After some stressful times with other estate agents, we were delighted to come across Your Move Blackheath and, in particular, Poppy Black! She made the entire process of finding and installing our tenant a breeze. She was very helpful, really went above and beyond to helpfully remind us of things we needed to do at certain times and check in with our process. She was always very friendly and approachable, so I never felt like a burden when I emailed her with questions etc. I also appreciated her honest answers - she wasn't there to squeeze money out of us or just get the job done - she was very genuine and helped us save a bit of money where we really needed it, and we are very happy with the tenant she found for us. Finally, we really appreciated using an agent who offers a Tenant Find service, which suited our needs best. So - a heartfelt recommendation, through and through!
