What happens on a lettings consultation?

The appointment usually takes around one hour and we will discuss your requirements along with the rental market in your area and take a tour of the property. We will let you know your responsibilities as a landlord and how we can help you. We will also discuss our approach to property marketing and how we find you the right tenant and get you the best rental price for your property.

What is an Accidental Landlord?

An accidental landlord is when you become a landlord unexpectedly. This can be due to inheriting a property, needing to rent out a property to cover a relative’s care expenses, or simply getting stuck with a property that hasn’t sold yet when you have moved to alternative accommodation.

What Landlord Services does Your Move offer?

Your Move letting agents have 3 levels of services for landlords, Tenant Find, Rent Collect and Fully Managed. We recommend you contact your local lettings expert to discuss your landlord needs. 

What are valid grounds for ending a tenancy agreement for landlords?
  • Mandatory Grounds: where the court must grant possession if proven, i.e. the landlord intends to sell, serious rent arears, or the tenant has been convicted of serious anti-social behaviour.
  • Discretionary Grounds: where the court may ground possession i.e. persistent late payment of rent, neglect or damage to the property, breach of tenancy agreement.
