Glenrothes is a town in the west of Fife and in the east of Scotland offering a range of properties for sale. The town was designed during the nineteen forties after the end of the Second World War in order to host miners at the nearby coal mine, having previously been a village whose main trade was in the making of paper and in farming. Modern Glenrothes presents a beautiful place to live, including fantastic green spaces, historic gardens and ancient woodland. Those who are sportily-minded will enjoy the local golf and cricket clubs, whilst young families will be pleased with the range of schools available in the town and in its surrounding area. Featuring a fantastic shopping centre, Glenrothes is wonderful for shopaholics, whilst foodies will be pleased with the range of local restaurants and cafes. Young professionals, meanwhile, will love the town's proximity to both Edinburgh and Dundee, with travel to both locations taking under an hour.
