A new rail service announced by ScotRail came into effect in May, further connecting Leven to the wider Fife region.
New route connects Leven to Dunfermline
May 19th marked the first day ScotRail began their new service from Dunfermline to Leven.
The journey is comparable to travelling by car, with an estimate journey duration of just over 40 minutes.
Peak-time tickets are available for £12 with a Railcard, and £13.40 without. During off-peak times a return will cost just £5.90 with a Railcard, and £8.90 without.
This offers locals a new option for travel without the need for your own transportation, and offers a pleasant alternative to those who would prefer not to take the car out on every occasion.
Plus, with children now on their summer holidays, this route offers families a convenient option for a short-notice day out.
