The team at Your Move Chris Stonock has been busy raising money for CHUF (Children’s Heart Unit Fund), taking on challenges and organising events to support children with heart conditions and their families.
From abseiling from the roof of a hospital to a 20-mile coastal trek, colleagues across the business have been getting involved – and there’s plenty more to come.
Taking fundraising to new heights
One of the team's biggest challenges so far saw colleagues take on an abseil from the roof of the Great North Children's Hospital at the Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI) in Newcastle.
The event, held on 10 and 11 April 2026, was organised by CHUF and the Great North Children's Hospital Fund, part of Newcastle Hospitals Charity. Participants made the almost 70ft descent from the hospital roof to raise money for the two charities.
Your Move Chris Stonock employees took part across both days and raised an incredible £4,123 for CHUF.
It was a fantastic achievement and a memorable way for the team to support a charity making a difference to children and their families across the region.
From tombolas to sweepstakes
It hasn't all involved stepping off the side of a building!
Branches have been finding plenty of other ways to support CHUF. A recent Bottle Tombola saw colleagues donate bottles which were then passed on to the charity for use at the CHUF Toddle.
The Consett team has also embraced a little friendly competition. Their Grand National sweepstake raised £50, while a World Cup sweepstake has raised £460.
Colleagues also supported the CHUF Toddle at Close House, with members of the team getting into the spirit of the day by dressing up in costume.
Taking on the Northumberland coast
Next up, a team of Your Move Chris Stonock colleagues will be swapping their branches for walking boots as they take on the 20-mile Northumberland Coast Mighty Hike from Bamburgh to Alnmouth.
The route takes in some of Northumberland's spectacular coastal scenery, with the team completing the challenge to raise further funds for CHUF.

Join the family fun day
The fundraising continues on 19 August at Burnopfield Cricket Club, where the team will be hosting a family fun day.
There'll be something for everyone to enjoy, with a suggested donation of £10 per family or £5 per person. Most importantly, 100% of donations will go directly to CHUF to support its work with children with heart conditions and their families.

All these events are helping Your Move Chris Stonock work towards an ambitious £20,000 fundraising goal for CHUF.
Whether colleagues are abseiling, hiking, dressing up, organising sweepstakes or donating to events, every contribution helps support the charity's work.
