Colleagues from Your Move Margate take a giant leap for charity

Posted 4/05/2023 by Your Move

Colleagues from Your Move Margate have taken a giant leap for charity, quite literally! They braved a skydive from 15,000 feet to raise funds for Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.

The daring trio comprised of our rental manager Juliette Malagodi, lettings co-ordinator Kristina Guoge, and director Patrick McDonnell travelled to Old Sarum Park in Salisbury for the challenge on the 28th April. The trio jumped from the GoSkyDive plane and reached freefall speeds of up to 125mph before opening their parachutes.

Their valiant efforts have already raised an impressive £1,100 for the chosen charity.

Guide Dogs for the Blind Association helps people with sight loss all over the UK, with almost two million people suffering from conditions that significantly impair their daily lives. Of those, about 180,000 experience loneliness and isolation by rarely leaving their homes alone. The charity strives to create a more hope-filled world for all who live with sight loss, where being blind or partially sighted doesn't isolate you from life, and there's enough support to make life dreams come true.

Juliette praised the charity, saying, “We are so pleased to help such a great cause that really helps so many people who struggle with the everyday tasks we take for granted. It was so exciting to jump and overcome the fear. It was an amazing experience.”

This event raised awareness for the admirable work carried out by Guide Dogs, and we encourage everyone to support this worthy cause. The sky dive donation page is still open, and every contribution, big or small, can make a significant difference.
