As we celebrate the announcement that Your Move is to remain an Official Supporter of the English Football League (EFL), as well as its Official Communities Supporter, we’re taking the time to reflect on the great opportunities the relationship has brought to our local teams and the communities in which they operate.
The relationship with the EFL, which began three years ago, has already seen Your Move benefit from widespread promotion of its services through EFL Clubs and websites as well as high profile events such as the Carabao Cup and Wembley Finals, but also, importantly, our local teams and communities have benefited too.
Last year, for example, as part of our role as EFL’s Official Communities Supporter, there was sponsorship of the Your Move EFL Community Club of the Year Award, which recognised EFL Club Community Organisations (CCOs) for their support of local communities, particularly during the Covid crisis. In addition there was also the exciting launch of our Your Club Your Kit competition which, in itself, attracted 2,800 entries.
This offered the chance for school teams or grassroots teams, of all ages and abilities, to win a football kit with a total of 135 kits presented by Your Move local teams - including those in Scotland. It proved hugely successful with many of the winning teams benefiting from increased exposure at local level and even the chance to take part in an exclusive EFL trophy tour. The response was amazing.

And, for those local teams who won a kit, we’ll also be offering them widespread additional opportunities this year; including the chance to win tickets to the Carabao Cup Final. It remains part of our focus to build and maintain links with local communities – and something we hope will develop and flourish in the months ahead and as new competition winners are announced.
